2.  Make dark tone for the dark side by shading repeatedly.

3.  Shade the middle side, too.

 4.  For 3D effect, work on the dark side first.  Make the half of the dark side darker as seen on screen.

 5. If the other part of the dark side looks too bright, shade a little more.

6. Work on the edge to make it darker.

7. Shade the middle side once again.

As it goes farther from you, it should look darker.

8. Shade the bright side the same way.

It gets darker as it goes farther away from you.

9. Clear up the shape of the cuboid.

10. Add shadow for the finishing touch.
