1. Divide 6 zones in the cylinder and start shading zones 4~6, the dark areas.
2. To get dark tone, repeat shading 3~5 times.
3. for zones 5~6, shade one more time to get the darker tone.
4. Work on the Zone 5. It should be the darkest area.
5. Shade the fourth zone once more so the tones get smoothly lighter.
6. Zone 6 should be slightely lighter than zone 5 as it gets light reflected on the ground. But it shouldn't be too light so shade it once more.
7.Make sure the shadow gets lighter as it goes farther away from the cylinder.
8. If the tones change smoothly, you are done with dark areas.
9. Shade zone 1~3 lightly. Zone 1 should be darker than zone 2 so it looke more 3D.
10. Shade zone3 once more. Zones 2~4 should get darker smoothly.
11. Zone 2 is lighter than zone 1 and 3.
12. Let's work on the top. It is the lightest area.
13. Add midtone near each boundary line.
14. Finished.
